1. A listening recommendation from Fresh Air producer John Myers:

I’ve been catching up on the 99% Invisible podcasts. It’s not easy to pull off a radio show about design and architecture, but this show never disappoints. The host, Roman Mars, has a real knack for painting pictures with sound. For example, in this episode about World War One ships painted with “razzle dazzle” camouflage. 99% Invisible also does a great job of making the seemingly mundane interesting. One Mars did about those white stripes painted on the highway comes to mind in particular.
