1. Do you all remember David Bowie’s cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “America” at The Concert for New York City back in 2001? It was moving and comes to mind since Bowie has a new album out called ‘The Next Day’. Ken Tucker reviews the album on the show today.

    Speaking of covers, David Gutowski at the music blog Largehearted Boy posts Daily Downloads — free and legal mp3 downloads and live sets found on the internet — and sometimes they feature covers done of particular artists’ songs. For example, Townes Van Zandt, Tom Waits, Led Zepplin, John Lennon, and yes — David Bowie.
