1. Today as part of Listeners’ Choice Week we are playing the interview with rap parody trio The Lonely Island (Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer, and Andy Samberg). They’re responsible for Saturday Night Live hits such as D— in a Box, Three-Way (The Golden Rule), and Mother Lover. The guys also have 3 albums: Incredibad, Turtleneck & Chain, and The Wack Album. They attribute their work to a love of rap growing up in the Bay Area:

Samberg: “We’re tiny little white dudes. We weren’t living the rap life at all. We just loved the music. … [T]hat’s where our comedy comes from: It comes from a love for what that music is and what it represents, but also always drawing a clear line to let everyone know that we don’t believe that we’re part of it.”
