Recently called “the Brando of NPR,” by BONPR Alec Baldwin, Carl Kassel served as the Morning Edition news announcer for from its inception in 1979 through 2009, and is currently the judge, scorekeeper, announcer, and prize of Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! In researching this major BONPR, we learned that Carl Kassell not only helped launch our local affiliate, he is also an alumnus of one of the finest public universities to take our money and kick us out.
